Fur Does Not Equal Glamour!

There have been a few secrets in the lolita secrets community about a girl who had a fur shawl on in, I assume, her daily_lolita post. Some scold her, rightly so, and most defend her!
I personally find it sickening that anyone would even classify fur as classy. Maybe 300+ years ago when maybe that was all you could make a coat out of to stay warm, but not now when there are much kinder fabrics that make an equally warm coat/wrap.
When I see someone wearing fur, my first thought is “do they have no heart?” Animals suffer deaths in the fur industry, that if done to a human, would be punishable by death with the law. I want to know why this is not the case with an animal! Are we so cruel that we can just skin animals alive to our hearts content without punishment?
How would you feel if you were caged with tons of other people in cages so full you could barely, if at all, move? Then taken by people larger, more powerful, than you and skinned alive so someone could make an ugly coat or scarf, or perhaps a pair of shoes or a handbag? You would want justice. You would want someone to do something!
Luckily, as I believe (you don’t have to agree), animals do have a second life, a perfect one, just like people do if they’re good. The bible says many times how God loves animals! So at least these poor creatures go somewhere happy after these horrors happen to them.
But why must they have to wait until death to end their suffering? We can end their suffering and they can have two perfect lives! Wouldn’t that be lovely?
“How can I help with this?” You may ask. Simply give up animal products! Don’t buy fur, go vegan(its not that hard!!),don’t buy products that test on animals, don’t visit the circus, etc and urge friends, family, and even complete strangers to do the same! Together, we can stop the cruelty happening to animals!
